Rainy-Season Skin: A Routine That Still Feels Light

Rainy-season humidity can make even a sensible routine feel like too many coats. The answer is usually lighter texture and fewer layers, not skipping care entirely.

Keep the morning breathable

Use a gentle cleanse if needed, a light moisturiser and broad-spectrum sunscreen. Let each layer settle. If sunscreen already feels moisturising enough for your skin, you may not need a separate heavy cream beneath it.

Lighter layers can make daily sun protection easier to wear in humidity.

Remove dampness and residue

Change out of wet clothing, clean the hairline after heavy sweating and remove sunscreen at night. Avoid repeatedly washing the face with harsh cleanser. Damp weather does not make the skin dirty every twenty minutes.

Adjust one product at a time

Swap texture before changing every ingredient. A lighter moisturiser or sunscreen may solve the sticky feeling. If breakouts become painful or persistent, seek medical guidance rather than stacking exfoliants.

A deep-cleansing or customised facial can complement the routine with professional assessment and appropriate exfoliation. It cannot control the weather, regrettably, and neither can the most expensive toner.
